Privacy Policy

Faith Companion does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app works fully offline and makes no network requests of its own. Everything you see and do stays on your device.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the mobile application Faith Companion (package com.faithcompanion.faith_companion), developed by Trust Sibanda ("we", "us"). It is an offline library of Bible versions, hymnals, Bible doctrine lessons, Sabbath School lessons, the fundamental beliefs, Ellen G. White's writings and Bible reading plans. All of that content is bundled inside the app; none of it is fetched from a server.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, request, or transmit any personal data. Specifically, the app has:

• No user accounts, sign-in, names, or email required to use it
• No location, camera, microphone, contacts, or file access — the app declares no Android runtime permissions
• No analytics, tracking, advertising, crash reporting, or third-party marketing tools
• No cookies and no advertising identifiers
• No servers of our own: the app contains no code that sends or receives data over a network

Information stored on your device

To make the app work, your choices are saved only on your own device using Android's local app storage. This information never leaves your phone and is not visible to us or anyone else. It includes:

• Your settings — theme, text size, typeface, and whether the words of Christ and Strong's numbers are shown
• The Bible version and the content language you last chose for the Bible, the hymnals and the lessons
• Your bookmarks, highlights (whole verses and selected words), and notes, including any folders you put notes in
• Your favourite hymns
• Your reading history — the chapters, hymns and lessons you last opened — and how far through each one you were
• Which days you have read something, so the home screen can show your week
• Your search history
• The reading plans you have started and the days you have marked done
• Any corrections you make to a hymn or a lesson, which are saved to your device only and change nothing for anyone else

None of this is sent anywhere. It is written to Android's local app storage, it is not visible to us, and it is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.

Features that hand off to other apps

Some optional features pass control to other apps you already have installed. When you use them, those apps' own privacy policies apply:

• Sharing: the "Share" option opens your device's standard share sheet. You choose what to share and where; we do not see or receive it. When you share a verse as a picture, the app draws that picture into its own temporary cache folder on your device and hands it to the share sheet; it is not uploaded anywhere by us.
• External links: tapping a link — for example, to read a content licence in full, or to open the app's own page on Google Play — opens your web browser or the Play Store app.
• Feedback email: if you use "Help & Feedback" to email us, your email app sends your message to blesttrading12@gmail.com. We receive only what you choose to write, and we use it solely to respond to you. We do not add you to any list or share your message.

Children's privacy

The app contains only religious and educational content, collects no personal information, and is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

App stores

The app is distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. When you download or update it, Google or Apple may collect information under its own privacy policy — Google's and Apple's. That processing is controlled by them, not by us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
